Apex will carry the same features of the 2018-launched Celebrity Edge. Most notable, the bright orange Magic Carpet on the starboard side of the vessel.

The Magic Carpet first debuted on Celebrity Edge

Magic Carpet is a multifunctioning elevator that carries the duties of a tender boat launch platform during port days, by night it transforms into a dining experience and bar.

Another feature carried over from Edge is the Eden entertainment experience on the aft end of the ship that is both a specialty restaurant and an entertainment venue.

The ship also has the Infinity Veranda balconies, a design that was first introduced on Edge that eliminates a balcony door and turns your stateroom into a balcony via a giant window.

When the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lift the no-sail order for cruise ships carrying over 250 guests, Apex will sail the winter from Port Everglades, Florida sailing various Caribbean itineraries. In spring 2021, the vessel will reposition to Europe.

The current no-sail order is set to expire on October 31, 2020. However, Royal Caribbean Group has canceled all sailings through November 30.
