Indulge Your Inner Child at Disneyland Paris
If you believe the saying you’re only as old as you feel, you might want to unleash your inner child on a holiday to Disneyland Paris.
Prepare to be awe-struck in the land where dreams come true and characters from Disney fairytales spring to life before your very eyes.
Formerly known as EuroDisney, the park came to be following the success of two similar developments in the US. One of Europe’s most popular attractions, it is situated in the eastern Paris town of Marne-la-Vallee.
The site’s attractions are spread across two parks – the Walt Disney Studios Park and Disneyland Park. Of the two, the latter is devoted to the world of Disney’s creations and is where children will be able to marvel at their favorite characters and scenes from the films.
Walt Disney Studios Park has been designed to provide an insight into the movie-making world and boasts four lots filled with things to see and do. Youngsters can tour film studios and see how everything works, even making their big screen film debut. You can also take in some live shows and parades in this section of the site.
Move towards the Disneyland Park and your offspring are likely to shriek with delight as they spot familiar faces from classics such as Cinderella and Snow White. Treat your little princess to a tour of Sleeping Beauty’s castle while at Euro Disney for a moment you’ll cherish forever.
The castle is situated in the Fantasyland section of the park, which is made up of five areas altogether. In the same part little ones can fly through the sky with Peter Pan or get dizzy on the whirling Mad Hatter’s teacups.
Move on to the Main Street, USA section to take a trip back in time to the 1900s when Walt Disney himself was a boy, or take in the sights of Frontierland, which recreates the Wild West and allows kids to take a trip on a paddle steamboat, ride a runaway mine train and hone their aim in a shooting gallery.
In the Adventureland section, youngsters can sail the high seas on a pirate ship, swing through the trees with the Swiss Family Robinson and take on challenges with Indiana Jones, while in Discoveryland they can be blasted through a cannon, spin in a star cruiser and meet R2D2 in a droid workshop.
With so much to see, you’re sure to find Disneyland Paris’ attractions can’t be covered in one day, so plan your time before setting off to make the most of each precious moment for a holiday you’ll never forget.
